Good afternoon Garden and Mountain families,
This week our theme was bugs. The children sang “I’m Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee”, “The Ants Go Marching” and “Itsy Bitsy Spider.” During small circle the children Diary of a Worm, Inch By Inch, and Flit, Flutter, Fly!
For large motor activities this week, the children crawled like spiders. Older children practiced the butterfly yoga pose and dancing to “The Ants Go Marching.”
For art this week the children made “bug splat art” by using green and black paint. The children used their fingers and large paint brushes to move the paint around the paper. The children also colored with markers this week.
In music class with Ms. Kathleen, the children sang into a microphone and danced with scarves. The children also used shaky eggs and read “Driving My Tractor”.
