Hello Birch families,
This week the curriculum focused on music around the world. The children danced with scarves to African and Hawaiian music as well as listened to several different instruments. During small circle, the class created music using shaker eggs, maracas, jingle bells and bongo drums.
Practical life skills continued to grow by painting and drawing at the easel, working with funnels and pouring cups in the water table, building with blocks and working with puzzles.
The children enhanced their large motor skills by kicking and rolling large yoga balls, jumping with two feet, practicing yoga and walking along stepping stones.
Next week we will be creating art using different materials found in nature!
