Good Afternoon Forest Families!
This week in Forest we explored STEAM activities! Inside the classroom, children participated in science activities and open ended art activities. In our science projects, we experimented with moving colorful water across various containers using paper towels, we explored mixing colors to make new ones, and we made predictions on what would happen! After setting up our experiment and letting it sit for a few hours, we discussed our predictions to see if they matched what happened.
Forest children also enjoyed open ended art activities. They were provided with supplies such as oil pastels, balsa wood, water colors, and yarn to create something new. Children created houses, measuring sticks, planes, fishing poles, and more!
We also greatly enjoyed our field trip to Festival Plaza this week! Children were full of questions regarding how to board a city bus, where we needed to stop, and how we would find the park! Children loved splashing in the fountains, eating their picnic lunches, and of course eating ice cream cones after! Next Thursday, we will have a visitor’s special presentation about Eric Carle!
Have a great weekend!
