Good afternoon Birch families,
This week, the Birch class continued learning about plants and flowers. During small circle, the birch class listened along to the books Zinnia’s Garden, Henry Helps Plant a Garden and A Garden for Pig.
During music with Ms. Kathleen, the children sang along to “Riding my tractor” and “Old McDonald had a Farm”, danced with scarves and created music using shaker eggs.
Practical life skills continued to grow by pouring water, folding baby blankets, working with the wooden peg puzzle, finding hidden flower pictures around the room and using the color matching peg board.
The Birch class continued to enhance their large motor skills by balancing on the wooden beams outside, climbing up the rock wall, kicking balls back and forth to a friend and pushing and riding on bikes outside.
*PARENT REMINDERS*:
Please remember to bring in extra clothes that are weather appropriate for the warmer weather. Hopefully this will be the last of the snow for the season! *Fingers crossed*
Next week we will be working in our Gardens!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Ms. Nicole, Ms. Itzel and Ms. Sarah
